A Tallit is a four cornered garment worn during prayers. The fringes on the Tallit or called Tzitzit, and these Tzitzit make the wearing of the Tallit significant. The Bible commands that as a remainder of G-dÂ’s commandments, Tziztit be attached to all four cornered garments. Being that today such garments are not worn, in order to fulfill the commandment, during prayers, a Tallit is put on. A Tallit is symbolic to our love for G-dÂ’s commandments.
